Clean your Blower.
Keep the mouthpiece clean after a braai. Use soap and water with a cloth. You can run water through The Blower to clean out the pipe and the jet nozzle.
By narrowing the nozzle, the air speeds up as it exits. Faster air means more oxygen hitting the hottest part of the fire, helping coals catch and flames grow quickly.
Fire prefers constant air flow over puffs. With the Blower’s adjustable jet nozzle you can direct that constant airflow to precisely where you need it with exactly as much air as your fire wants.

Beautifully made, very strong and sturdy. I bought these for our fire pit. It's so nice to be able to sit in a chair and tend the fire rather than having to be within burning distance with our old bbq tongs. They operate smoothly, and the whole group loved them. Expensive, but I think well worth it if you use a fire pit or bbq often.
Love my 27” Donkey Tongs. I use them to place wood splits onto the fire in my grill. Also use for flipping meat as well. Great product. I have the 32” but the 27” is perfect size for most everything.

If you’re on the fence, stop wasting time and buy the tongs! Best accidental discovery I’ve made in a long time. FAQs about The Blower
Use the Blower for precision airflow, like when you’re starting a fire, reviving last night’s coals or targeting one stubborn hot spot without disturbing the whole fire. Use the Paddle for big gusts of air when your fire needs a strong boost. If you work with a variety of fires and fire setups, you'll want both.
Fire needs oxygen to burn. The adjustable nozzle lets you control how much air you introduce. More oxygen increases combustion and heat. Less oxygen gives you controlled encouragement without sending ash everywhere.
The adjustable jet nozzle has 5 positions. If the arrow points to “DONKEY,” the nozzle is closed. Settings 1 through 5 control airflow intensity, 1 being gentle airflow, 5 being maximum output. Adjust based on what your fire needs.
For reviving coals, settings 1 or 2 are usually enough. For starting a fire from scratch, try 3 to 5.
Set your airflow level, position the nozzle near the heart of the fire and blow steadily. Controlled air equals controlled heat.
Yes. It’s especially effective indoors where airflow is limited. It's ideal for indoor fireplaces and wood-burning stoves where you can't rely on wind to help your fire along.
Wash with warm soapy water after use. Run water through the pipe and nozzle to clear ash. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
